Our Westover client came to us wanting a kitchen refresh! This kitchen once had dark wood cabinets, medium brown wood floors, a tumbled Tuscan backsplash, and black granite countertops. Our goal was to take the kitchen from dark traditional to warm and inviting transitional. We accomplished this look by first sanding and doing a wash over the floors. We then painted the kitchen cabinets in Sherwin Williams Skyline Steel and paired it with brushed brass hardware. Replacing the black granite with a subtle vein white quartz helped to brighten the space. Simplifying the backsplash was a must in order to create a timeless classic feel. By installing handmade white subway tiles with warm putty-colored grout (It’s all in the details people!) the look was complete. Add in eye-catching brushed brass pendants and you’ve got yourself a kitchen that will stand the test of time.
