The clients wanted to use their once empty formal living room and transform it into a room for reflection with a cup of coffee in the morning, and cocktails with friends at night. No kids allowed. We started by talking about color; pale blush and dusty blue kept coming up in conversation. I then came across the floral wallpaper and we all fell in love. Adding elements of texture and visual interest with the book-matched wood grain cocktail table and shagreen consoles furthered the cozy vibes. I think the biggest challenge was having the clients commit to wallpapering the entire room and then instantly worrying about it being too much (haha). Once I sourced all of the elements and closed my eyes to envision the room, I knew it was the right choice.
